Hi! I'm a biracial senior at American Heritage School in Florida who is all about math education. I believe that every kid deserves to reach full learning potential. As Founder of the Common Denominator Project, my nonprofit which is officially partnered with the Milagro Center, I work alongside my team of student volunteers to help make math education accessible to underserved elementary school students. To date, 90% of forty students have moved from below grade-level to grade-level proficiency. How cool is that!
Did you know that only 3% of K-12 teachers in the U.S. are male Latino? As an aspiring future Latinx math teacher committed to serving as a role model to help combat male youth misogynist radicalization, I invite you to join my signature campaign to promote the Educators for America Act (H.R. 9765 / S. 5029) and Building Community in America Act (H.R. 9766 / S. 5031), introduced in July of this year. This is important—so please write your elected officials to urge them to endorse these initiatives.
I'm stoked to start my new position in two weeks as Regional Director of The Borgen Project. Our mission is to downsize global poverty. That's why we're pushing hard for the Global Child Thrive Reauthorization Act H.R. 6347 (U.S.-2025-2026 Regular Session (119th) to fund early childhood development (ECD) for vulnerable children suffering from poverty.
